Papers pertaining to Nimrod's memoirs of John Mytton [manuscript], 1836.

The collection pertains to the second edition of the "Memoirs of the Life of the Late John Mytton," and consists of five letters, a note, and a manuscript of "The Shavington Day" included in that edition. A letter, 1836 November 10, from Apperley to publisher Rudolf Ackermann, acknowledges the receipt of proofs, asks Ackermann to make lodging arrangements and promises to work on sporting anecdotes. A four page note on the auction of household furnishings is included. Letters, 1836 March 12 to April 11, A.Z. (Captain Parr) to Ackermann discuss his contributions to the second edition including additional anecdotes, corrections and illustrations. The illustrator T.J. Rawlins is mentioned.
